Our Pastor

Michael Richard (Rick) Underwood joined our church in December of 2010.  Rick and his wife Faye are natives of North Carolina and have been married for 26 years.  They have two grown children, Michael and Meredith.  Buddy the Rocky Mountain Wonder Dog also returned to Colorado with them.

Rick attended Greensboro College in Greensboro, NC where he attained a BA in History and Sociology and minored in Religious Studies.  Prior to entering seminary, he had a career in Advertising, Promotions and Public Relations.  He attended Union Theological Seminary in Virginia where he attained a MDiv degree and an MRE from the Presbyterian School of Christian Education.  He is currently enrolled at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary where he is working on a Doctor of Ministry tract on Preaching and Worship.

Rick first served as Pastor of First Presbyterian in Berthoud, CO.  This was followed by duties at United Presbyterian in Whitinsville, MA as Pastor and Head of Staff.  Rick has served on numerous Presbytery Committees from 2001 to the present.  He is also very involved with Mission Work at several Native American Reservations.  Rick has a great love for History and all things British.  He has complete almost thirty presentations on Biblical topics, Christian history, and other religious topics.

We are delighted that the family has now returned to Colorado!  God is Good!
